The world's largest electric car manufacturer Tesla, led by Elon Musk, is about to enter India. With Tesla's vacancy in India, it was clear that the company is going to start its journey here soon. Tesla is considering starting by bringing electric cars from its Berlin plant to India. Not only this, now the company has also almost finalized the locations to open its showrooms in the country, which are in Mumbai and Delhi.

Entry will happen in India soon

According to a CNBC-TV18 report, Tesla is working fast on its entry into India and Tesla officials will visit the country in April, where they will hold talks with other ministries including the PMO. Tesla's entry into India will take place in April 2024. The company is considering importing electric cars from the Tesla plant in Berlin and selling them in India. Tesla and Elon Musk will first bring electric vehicles (EVs) to India priced below $25,000 (about Rs 21 lakh). According to the information, Tesla is finalizing the location for the company's owned showroom in Aerocity in Delhi and BKC in Mumbai. The company will also start its operation soon.

Tesla plans to launch an electric vehicle priced below $25,000 (about Rs 22 lakh) in the Indian market. However, Tesla has not yet announced any plans to manufacture its cars in India but it is planning to buy car parts from Indian companies. According to the report, Tesla can buy more than $1 billion worth of parts from India by 2025.
