CBSE New Rule: 10th class board exam will be held twice a year, exam dates are also out

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made a big change in its examination system. CBSE has decided that from 2026, the board examination for class 10th will be conducted twice a year. If a student falls ill or misses his exam due to any reason, then he can take the exam again. Let us tell you that CBSE has approved the draft regulation to conduct the 10th board exam twice a year from 2026. At the same time, all the stakeholders can give their feedback on this draft till March 9.

10th class board exam will be held twice

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will give it the form of a policy after taking the opinion of all the stakeholders on the draft of conducting the 10th board exam twice a year from 2026. According to the draft, the first exam will be held from 17 February to 6 March. While the second exam will be conducted from 5 May to 20 May. Let us tell you that the Ministry of Education of the Government of India discussed this proposal with CBSE board officials and others on 19 February. After this, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan considered this plan in consultation with CBSE, NCERT, KVS, NVS and school officials and this decision was taken.
