RCB vs GT Highlights IPL 2025: The 14th match of IPL 2025 was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans. This clash between the two teams took place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. After winning the toss, Gujarat team decided to bowl first. This decision of Shubman Gill proved very beneficial for Gujarat. Gujarat won this match easily. Royal Challengers Bangalore had to face their first defeat in this tournament. Gujarat won this match in the 18th over itself.

Gujarat batted brilliantly

Let us tell you that batting first, Royal Challengers Bangalore gave Gujarat Titans a target of 170 runs. Bangalore scored 169 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Sai Sudarshan and Shubman Gill came out to open for Gujarat in front of the target of 170 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled the first over from Bangalore. He conceded 5 runs in the over. After Shubman Gill was out, Sai Sudarshan and Josh Butler took over the innings. Sai Sudarshan and Joe Butler batted aggressively and took Gujarat's score past 100 in the 12th over. Gujarat suffered a big blow in the 13th over. Gujarat lost its second wicket in the 13th over. Sai Sudarshan was out after scoring 49 runs. He was caught by Jitesh Sharma off Josh Hazlewood. Sai could not complete his half-century. As soon as Sudarshan was out, Gujarat brought in impact player Sherfan Rutherford. He came on the field in place of Ishant Sharma.

Jos Butler batted explosively and hit a fifty in 31 balls. This is his 21st half-century of IPL career. Butler's innings laid the foundation for Gujarat's victory. Earlier, Gujarat's bowlers sent four RCB batsmen to the pavilion in the power play itself. Apart from Liam Livingstone, no batsman from RCB could score a half-century. However, Tim David played a brilliant innings of 33 runs in the last overs. Due to these two innings, RCB gave Gujarat a target of 170 runs to win.

Gujarat also did wonders in bowling

RCB got the first blow in the second over of the innings. Young bowler Arshad Khan showed Virat Kohli the way to the pavilion. Arshad Khan got Virat caught by Prasidh Krishna. Virat was out after scoring just seven runs. In the third over of the innings, Mohammad Siraj started showing his flair against his old team. Mohammad Siraj bowled Devdutt Padikkal on the second ball of the third over. Padikkal got out after scoring only 4 runs. Siraj bowled Phil Salt on the fourth ball of the fifth over. Salt scored 14 runs off 13 balls.

Meanwhile, Jitesh Sharma and Liam Livingstone took charge of the team amidst the continuous wickets of RCB. In the 13th over, Jitesh Sharma and Liam Livingstone made a fifty partnership for the fifth wicket. But this partnership could not last for long. Bangalore lost the fifth wicket in the 13th over itself. Sai Kishore got Jitesh Sharma caught at the long on position. Jitesh scored 33 runs. Krunal Pandya, who came to the crease immediately after Jitesh Sharma's dismissal, also became the victim of Sai Kishore.

Liam Livingstone played a brilliant innings for RCB. He hit a fifty in 39 balls. He hit three sixes in the 18th over bowled by Rashid Khan. In the 19th over, Liam Livingstone (54 runs) was caught by Jos Buttler off Mohammad Siraj.

In this match, Gujarat included Arshad Khan in the playing eleven in place of fast bowler Kagiso Rabada. Rabada did not play in this match due to personal reasons. Whereas RCB did not make any changes in their team.
