Big change in WhatsApp before Holi, now more privacy control will be available in video calls

WhatsApp New Features: Popular instant messaging app WhatsApp keeps improving user experience with new features. The platform frequently updates itself to enhance privacy, security and customization. Now the giant American company has started rolling out several new features that will make users' video calls even more convenient and secure. According to a report, WhatsApp is now going to bring a major update for video calls. WhatsApp users will get more privacy control in the new updates.

This will be a lifesaver for privacy enthusiasts and those who get a lot of spam calls from unknown numbers. Many WhatsApp users have complained about receiving spam calls. In view of this fraud, WhatsApp has come up with a more powerful video call privacy feature.

According to a report by 91Mobiles, users can get a new option to turn off the camera when they receive an incoming video call on WhatsApp. The new feature has been spotted by Android Authority on WhatsApp beta version (2.25.7.3 for Android). During WhatsApp video calls, users can chat from one-to-one to 32 people simultaneously.

When users receive a video call, WhatsApp opens directly to your front camera. You also get a preview of your front camera when a call comes in. The new feature is being seen as a way to protect users' privacy.

How will users benefit?

Now the new feature can be helpful after receiving voice or video calls from unknown numbers. The feature can also be useful for video calls with your contacts. If reports are to be believed, WhatsApp is considering this problem in a video call privacy update soon.

However, this feature has not been released yet. But there is a code hidden inside it which suggests that users may soon get more options about who can start a video call with them. Users will be able to block video calls from numbers that are not added to their address book. This will be a big step towards eliminating spam calls.

Video calls from unknown numbers may automatically stop instead of ringing immediately. This will allow users to get a notification instead of annoying full-screen call alerts. WhatsApp may add a new section under privacy settings. This will allow users to customize video call settings. They will get the facility to control profile picture and online status.
