Betul Coal Mine: A major accident has occurred in a coal mine in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh. According to information, many workers were buried under the debris after a slab of one phase of the mine collapsed on Thursday. So far three workers have died. After the accident, the mine rescue team, SDRF and police force are present on the spot. Many workers are feared to be trapped inside.
Rescue operation continues
As soon as the information about this accident was received, Betul DM Narendra Suryavanshi, SP Nischal Jharia and top officials of WCL reached the spot. This accident happened 300 meters inside the mouth of the mine. The rescue team has entered the mine and started relief and rescue work. Efforts are being made to safely take out the workers trapped in the debris.
