Maha Kumbh earned 30 crores in 45 days

Let us tell you that the story of Pintu Mahara, who provided boating to the devotees in the Ganga during the Prayagraj Mahakumbh, is no less than an inspiration. This boatman from Arail village, located on the banks of Triveni Sangam, changed the fortunes of his family with his thinking and hard work. Seeing the arrival of a large number of devotees during the Mahakumbh, Pintu took a bold decision. He even put his family's savings at stake, even to the point of selling women's jewelry and mortgaging the house. With this money, he bought 70 boats and provided boat service to the devotees for 45 days during the Mahakumbh.

70 boats purchased before Kumbh

When the Maha Kumbh ended, Pintu got the fruits of his hard work in the form of earning crores. His success story was so impressive that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself mentioned it in the Assembly.

Many generations of Pintu Mahara's family, who lives in Arail village of Prayagraj, have been associated with this profession, but Pintu's thinking took this tradition to a new height. Seeing the huge crowd of devotees during the last Ardh Kumbh, Pintu had realized that even more people would come to the next Maha Kumbh. This was the reason why he took a big decision – he put his family's entire savings at stake and bought 70 new boats. This made his total number of boats 130.

The jewelry of the house had to be sold

However, this decision was not easy. Many family members opposed it, even his mother Shakuntala Devi was upset. The women refused to sell the jewellery, but Pintu remained firm on his decision. Eventually, his confidence proved right. His boats earned so much during Maha Kumbh that now his family has become completely financially strong.
