Union Minister Nitin Gadkari addressed the convocation of Central India Group of Institutions in Nagpur on Saturday. During this, he stressed the importance of equality and completely rejected caste-based politics. Gadkari said in Nagpur that he does not talk about religion and caste in public. He believes that people put social service above everything else. Recalling what he said during the election campaign last year, Gadkari said that if anyone talks about caste, I will kick him.
He also said that even if he loses the election or loses the ministerial post, he will stick to his principle. Gadkari said this at the convocation ceremony of a minority institute. Gadkari said that he does politics with conditions. Even if he has to lose the ministerial post for this. Now many meanings are being drawn from his words.
I am not worried about who will vote for me: Gadkari
Nitin Gadkari further said that we never discriminate on the basis of caste or religion. I am in politics and many things keep happening here. But I have decided to work in my own way. I am not worried about who will vote for me. He further said that my friends said that you should not have said this. But I have decided to follow this principle in life. I will not die if I lose the election or do not get a ministerial post. Gadkari said that the value of a person is determined by his qualities rather than his caste, religion, language or gender. He said that many people used to contact me on the basis of their caste identity. But he remained firm on his principles.
