The market capitalization of 8 out of the top 10 most valuable companies of Sensex increased by a total of Rs 88,085.89 crore last week. HDFC Bank benefited the most. Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 509.41 points or 0.66 percent. Out of the top 10 companies, the market cap of HDFC Bank, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever and ITC increased. Whereas the market cap of Reliance Industries and Infosys decreased.
The market cap of HDFC Bank rose by Rs 44,933.62 crore to Rs 13,99,208.73 crore during the week. The market cap of State Bank of India rose by Rs 16,599.79 crore to Rs 6,88,623.68 crore. Similarly, the market cap of TCS increased by Rs 9,063.31 crore to Rs 13,04,121.56 crore, ICICI Bank by Rs 5,140.15 crore to Rs 9,52,768.61 crore, ITC by Rs 5,032.59 crore to Rs 5,12,828.63 crore, Hindustan Unilever by Rs 2,796.01 crore to Rs 5,30,854.90 crore, Bharti Airtel by Rs 2,651.48 crore to Rs 9,87,005.92 crore and Bajaj Finance's market cap increased by Rs 1,868.94 crore to Rs 5,54,715.12 crore.
How much loss did Infosys and Reliance Industries suffer
In contrast to this trend, the market cap of Infosys fell by Rs 9,135.89 crore to Rs 6,52,228.49 crore. The market cap of Reliance Industries fell by Rs 1,962.2 crore to Rs 17,25,377.54 crore. In the list of top 10 companies, Reliance Industries remained at the first position. It was followed by HDFC Bank, TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Infosys, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever and ITC respectively.
