BJP will hold an important meeting on February 17 to decide the Chief Minister of Delhi

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold its next meeting on February 17 at 3 pm to decide the next Chief Minister of Delhi. According to sources, this meeting will be led by party president JP Nadda. All the general secretaries of the party will attend the meeting, who will put their seal on the post of Chief Minister of Delhi. Delhi Assembly elections were held on February 5. The counting of votes took place on February 8 and the party won 48 out of 70 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party, which was in power in Delhi for the last 10 years, lost the elections.

In this election, prominent leaders of Aam Aadmi Party and even cabinet ministers had to face defeat. For example, apart from AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, senior party leaders – Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Kumar Jain, Somnath Bharti, Saurabh Tiwari, Rakhi Birla and Durgesh Pathak also had to lose their seats.

After the Delhi Assembly election results, speculations are rife about the formation of the new government. After the historic victory of the BJP, everyone's eyes are set on who will be the next Chief Minister of Delhi? No official announcement has been made by the BJP regarding the post of Chief Minister yet.

According to sources, the swearing-in ceremony may take place on 19 or 20 February in Delhi. Meanwhile, there is also news that the name of Pravesh Verma, who is being considered a front runner for the CM post, may be out of the race for the Chief Minister. The name of Pravesh Verma, who defeated Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi seat, was in the news earlier, but now there is little possibility of his name being finalized.
