Every student who wants to pursue engineering dreams of getting admission in IIT, NIT, IIIT. But how many students are there who are asked to give half of their salary if they get admission? Something similar happened with a boy from New Delhi. Although this was said only in jest, but this incident has gone viral after being shared on social media. The incident is such that the boy's father proposed that if his son gets admission in a top-tier institute like IIT, NIT, IIIT or BITS Pilani, then he will get 40 percent of his father's salary every month till his retirement.
But the story doesn't end here. The father also gave another proposal along with this proposal and that was that if his son goes to a tier-two or tier-three college, he will have to hand over 100 percent of his salary to his father until his retirement.
Funny reactions on the post
The boy has shared a post about this declaration of his father on the social media platform Reddit and it has gone viral. People are giving funny reactions. One user joked, "Uncle is an LIC agent, is he launching such a dangerous scheme?" Another called it "Retirement Plan 101". The third user jokingly said, "He will pay the fees and then say that son, 40% is going to pay your fees."
Father and son often keep joking like this
However, the Reddit user who shared the post later announced that the letter was just a joke that he and his father often play with each other. The user shared another old incident when he had promised his father that he would score above 90 per cent marks in Class 10. Once, the father had promised to take his son on a trip if he wakes up early. The user wrote, "It's all in jest, guys—we make promises to our parents, but in my father's case, he wants everything in writing."
