India Post GDS Recruitment 2025: 10th pass can apply for India Post job, check details

India Post : India Post has invited applications for various posts of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS). Interested and eligible candidates can apply through indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. Under this recruitment process, a total of 21413 posts of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Postal Servant will be filled. This recruitment is being done for post offices located in different states.

When will the registration start: 10 February 2025

Last Date: 3rd March 2025

Till when can one make corrections in the application – 6 March to 8 March 2025

To apply for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak, the candidate must have passed 10th class from a recognized board. The applicant must have passed the passing marks in Mathematics and English subjects. Apart from this, the age of the candidate should be between 18 to 40 years. Age relaxation will be given to reserved categories as per the rules of the government.

Branch Postmaster (BPM): Rs 12,000 to Rs 29,380

Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak : Rs 10,000 to Rs 24,470 As per Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA), the salary of the employees will be increased by 3 per cent annually.

How will the election be held

The selection process will be completely merit based. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of 10th class marks. If a candidate has passed the exam in grading system, then their grades/points will be converted into percentage. After this, the merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks accurate to four decimal places.

Shortlisting and Document Verification

Candidates who find place in the merit list will be informed through SMS and online portal. The selected candidates will have to undergo document verification process, after which their final appointment will be made.

Application Fee

The application fee for general category candidates has been fixed at Rs 100.

Application is free for women candidates, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Transwoman candidates.

Candidates can pay the fee through online mode. All valid credit cards, debit cards, net banking and UPI can be used.

Fill the required information and upload the documents.

Pay the charges (if applicable).

After submitting the form save the print out.
