In such a situation, today 22 March 2025 is the fourth Saturday of the month. Therefore, according to the list of Reserve Bank of India, banks across the country will remain closed today. Banks are open on the first and third Saturdays of every month.
Apart from Saturday, RBI has announced a holiday on the occasion of Bihar Day. In such a situation, banks will remain closed in Patna today, Saturday, March 22. RBI has issued a notification in this regard.
There are three types of Reserve Bank of India bank holidays. These include
1. Negotiable Instruments Act (which covers financial transactions such as cheques and drafts)
2 – Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) Holidays
3 – Holiday related to closing of accounts of banks
