Strong winds have been continuing in Delhi and surrounding areas since March 4, due to which the weather remains cold. Today (March 5) morning also, a drop in temperature was recorded due to strong winds. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature may drop to 11 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is likely to remain around 26 degrees Celsius. Due to strong winds, there has been a slight improvement in the pollution level, but the wind speed is likely to remain at 20-30 km per hour.
According to meteorologists, the temperature will start increasing gradually from March 6 and it may cross 30 degrees Celsius by March 9. The activation of Western disturbance is believed to be the reason behind this change. At present, Delhiites are feeling mild cold due to cold winds.
Strong winds increased the cold
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the wind speed on Tuesday was between 25 and 35 kilometers per hour due to clear skies. On Wednesday (March 6), winds are also expected to blow at a speed of 20 to 30 kilometers per hour. In the morning, the winds will blow from the northwest direction at a speed of 12-14 kilometers per hour, which can increase to 22-24 kilometers per hour by noon.
The temperature will rise again
According to meteorologists, the temperature will start increasing gradually from March 6. On March 9, due to the effect of western disturbance, there will be a significant increase in the minimum temperature. During this time, the maximum temperature can go above 30 degrees Celsius, which will increase the feeling of heat.
Delhi's air quality is moderate
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi's air quality index (AQI) at 6 am today was recorded at 116, which falls in the 'moderate' category.
Categories of AQI levels:

However, due to strong winds there has been a slight improvement in the pollution level, but the situation may change again in the coming days.
